Dictating to four people at once

Mawlānā Ḥusayn Mīrthī said:

Once, Imam Aḥmad Razā Khān fell ill. Doctors prohibited him from meeting people, talking, and even writing. To act upon their advice, arrangements were made for him to reside outside of the city. The public were not allowed to go there.

When I went to visit him, he performed maghrib salah and then retired to bed. Mawlana Muṣṭafā Razā Khān, Muftī Amjad ꜤAlī al-AꜤẓamī, Mawlana Hashmat ꜤAlī Laknawī, and one more person were sat on chairs nearby.

The imam gave a bundle of letters to Mufti Amjad ꜤAlī and said, “30 letters came today. I have read one, here are the remaining 29.” The mufti opened an envelope and found questions written on a couple of papers.
