Book Name:Ala Hazrat Ka Shoq e Ilm e Deen

“You moved the hands yourself. Otherwise, it would have been 12 o’clock after 45 minutes, as per its normal pace.”

“This is what I am trying to explain!”, the imam said. “Allah is all-powerful. He can move any star to any position He wills. You said it will rain next month. I say Allah can make it rain today if He wills.” Not soon after the imam spoke these words, clouds began to form, and it started to rain heavily.[1]

Both matters of the previously mentioned Quranic verse are evident from this incident too. The astrologer believed the stars told him when rain would come, but because of the imam’s resolute belief in Allah, he told the astrologer that Allah can make it rain whenever He wills. After saying this, clouds formed, and it started raining.

If you read the biography of the great imam, you will find examples of his unwavering faith, and instances of assistance from the unseen. May Allah grant us strong faith, for the sake of Imam Aḥmad Razā Khān.

What is the essence of faith?

Mufti Aḥmad Yār Khān NaꜤīmī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه explains:

Faith is to trust Allah and His Messenger. The essence of faith is to believe in what the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم informed us about, more than you trust your senses.

If our eyes tell us it is day, but the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم says it is night, then our eyes are wrong and the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is right. Our eyes are mistaken many times, but the words of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم can never be wrong.[2]
