your eyes in exchange for 100,000 gold coins?” The man said no. The scholar then asked the same question regarding the man’s hands and feet. The man said even if he was given 100,000 gold coins, he would give none of these up.

After reminding the man of Allah’s other favours, Yūnus b. ꜤUbayd concluded by saying, “I see thousands of blessings in your possession, yet you complain of being poor?”[1]

Dear Islamic brothers! There are fortunate Muslims who love one another and gather only to please Allah. For example, they come to Dawat-e-Islami’s weekly sunnah-inspired gatherings, study in Madrassat al-Madinah, give and listen to dars, travel in Madani Qafilahs, and take part in study circles after fajr salah. In other words, those who gather, meet one another, and spend on each other purely to please Allah; such people are granted love of Allah.

The following hadith can be found in the book Bahār-i-Sharīat: “Allah states, ‘I certainly love those who love one another, sit in each other’s company, interact, and spend on one another for My sake.’”[2]

Dear Islamic brothers! To be loved by Allah, we should build a habit of reciting the Quran, performing good deeds, and doing other acts of worship. If we slip into sin due to human nature, we should sincerely repent right then and there, as Allah greatly loves those who repent.

 He says in the Quran:
