alongside punctually carrying out our obligations.

For example, whilst making sure to keep the obligatory fasts of Ramadan, we can keep voluntary ones on Monday and Thursday. Whilst ensuring to give zakat, we can give voluntary charity. This includes contributing to the building of masjids and madrassas, helping poor siblings and relatives, feeding Muslims, and spending to help the spread of Islam.

May Allah allow us to make obligatory and voluntary ḥajj and Ꜥumrahs! Alongside compulsory salahs, may He grant us ability to offer nafl prayers, such as tahajjud, ishrāq, ḍuḥā, and awwābīn!

Patience leads to love

Dear Islamic brothers! Another way to increase in love for Allah is to be patient when faced with any difficulties, calamities, or issues. Instead of complaining, one should be patient in every matter, as Allah loves the people of patience.

He says in the Quran:

وَ اللّٰہُ  یُحِبُّ الصّٰبِرِیْنَ (۱۴۶)

and Allah loves those who are patient.[1]

If we remain patient, true love for Allah will shine in our hearts.

The Companion Anas رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ narrates; the final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم explained, “Indeed, greatness of reward is with enormity of trial. Allah tests a nation when He loves them. He is pleased with whoever is pleased with His decision, and displeased with whoever is displeased.”[2]
