indirectly revere Allah. These are but a few of the signs and conditions of loving Allah, and there are hundreds more to be said.[1]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Let’s now listen to an amazing hadith, which will fill sinners with hope and make the pious fear Allah even more – اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه. After listening to this, you will see how people who love Allah spend their nights.

The final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم explained:

Allah sent revelation to Dāwūd عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم, in which he declared, “O Dāwūd (عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم)! Convey glad tidings to the sinful and tell the ṣiddiqīn to be fearful.”

Dāwūd عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم was surprised by this. “O Lord!”, he exclaimed, “What glad tidings should I give the sinful, and what should I tell the ṣiddiqīn to be fearful of?” 

Allah replied, “Tell the sinful: no sin is greater than My forgiveness. Tell the ṣiddiqīn: they should not be pleased upon their good deeds, as whoever I take to account regarding My blessings will be destroyed.”

“O Dāwūd (عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم)! If you want to love Me, take love for the world out from your heart. Love for Me and love for the world cannot co-exist in one heart. Whoever loves me offers tahajjud salah at night whilst others sleep, remembering me whilst by himself.”

Whilst the negligent ignore My dhikr and the forgetful forget Me,
