More Madani pearls of giving and taking with the right hand

*    The right side is considered blessed in Islam because on the Day of Judgement, a successful believer will be given his book of deeds in his right hand.[1]

*    Lady ꜤĀˈishah رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا said, “Allah’s Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم loved to begin tasks from the right side.”[2]

*    Eat with the right hand, for Satan eats, drinks, gives, and takes with the left hand.[3]

*    When giving someone water to drink, we hold the jug in the right hand and the glass in the left. We give with the left hand too. If we are taking a jug and glass from someone, we take them both at the same time with both hands; this method is incorrect. Take the jug first with the right hand then hold it with the left, then take the glass with the right hand.

Supplication for an Islamic environment at home

As per the schedule of Dawat-e-Islami’s weekly sunnah-inspired gathering, we shall now memorise a supplication. This week, we will learn a supplication which will bring an Islamic environment into the home.
