In essence, the department was established because of Mawlana Ilyas Attar al-Qadiri’s love for masājid and his desire for all of them to be populated. This love is evident by his statement that Dawat-e-Islami is the movement of populating the masājid. He can often be seen encouraging people during the weekly gatherings and Madani Muzakarahs to attend the masjid regularly. If only we could also adopt this beautiful mindset of his.

Dear Islamic brothers! As the bayan comes to an end, we will learn about some sunan and etiquettes, as well as their virtues. The beloved Prophet           صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “Whoever loves my Sunnah loves me, and whoever loves me will be with me in Paradise.” [1]

Sunnas and manners of applying kohl

Dear Islamic brothers! Here are some Sunnas and manners of applying kohl, taken from the book “101 Madani Pearls”, written by Mawlana Ilyas Attar al-Qadiri دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ.

The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “The best kohl is ithmid (antimony), for it improves the eyesight and makes the eyelashes grow.”[2]

*    There is no harm in using kohl derived from a rock. It is disliked for men to apply black kohl or kajal with the intention of beautifying themselves. If this is not the intention, it is not disliked to do so.[3]
