* "The example of a good and bad companion is like that of a musk seller and a blacksmith. The musk seller will either give you some musk, you will buy from them, or at least you will benefit from their fragrance. The blacksmith, however, may burn your clothes or you will be affected by their foul smell."[2]
* The Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم advised: Sit with elders, ask scholars questions, and spend time with the wise.[3]
* A good companion is he who causes you to remember Allah when you see him, whose speech increases you in deeds, and whose actions remind you of the Hereafter.[4]
* As we can see, having a pious friend not only helps us in this world but will help us in our graves also.[5]
