Dear Islamic brothers! Look at how harmful and destructive bad company can be. Look at dreadful consequences faced by those who unknowingly surround themselves with bad influences. Indeed, bad company ruins a person and opens the doors to calamities, misfortunes, and hardships. Often, these so-called "friends" turn into deadly enemies, robbing their own friends of their right to live and leading them to painful deaths. Those who keep bad company become examples, showing others what not to do with their lives.

We just heard the tragic story of a person who died a horrifying death due to his association with gamblers. We should stay away from bad company entirely, but especially gamblers, as those involved in gambling lose not only their hard-earned money but also face numerous losses and disasters.

Worldly harms of gambling

In Tafsīr Ṣirāṭ al-Jinān, it is mentioned:

1.   Gambling leads to bitterness, hatred, and hostility among gamblers, often escalating to violence and even murder.

2.   Due to gambling, a wealthy person can fall into poverty within moments. Prosperous households fall apart and well-off individuals find themselves struggling even for necessities.

Their respect and social standing disappear, leaving them without value or dignity in society.
