Sufis رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـهُ say human nature has the quality of taking or absorbing what is around it. Being around a greedy person will make one greedy, whilst time spent around the pious will make one grow in piety.[1]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! We should be cautious and avoid placing blind trust in anyone when it comes to forming friendships, nor should we associate with those whose character is tainted with various vices. When wrongdoers face difficult times, those who maintain relationships with them often get caught in their troubles as well.

The company of the misguided is like poison

Dear Islamic brothers! Remember, just as associating with alcoholics, gamblers, and those immersed in sinful activities leads to destruction; similarly, interacting with misguided individuals, listening to their speeches, reading their books, watching their videos, sharing their content, sitting with them, or establishing family ties with them is also a deadly poison for one’s faith. It becomes a cause of severe ruin and destruction in both this world and the Hereafter.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! In Tafsīr Ṣirāṭ al-Jinān, the following explanation can be found:

Attending gatherings of misguided individuals and listening to their speeches is haram. It is akin to directly exposing oneself to misguidance and deviation. Even if their speeches include Quranic verses or hadith, and one believes they can learn
