Remaining pearls of wisdom regarding the intentions of fasting

*    If you make an intention such as "If I get invited to a meal tomorrow, I won’t fast, but if not, I will fast," then this intention is not valid, and you will not be considered fasting.[1]

*    If someone neither makes an explicit intention for fasting nor decides against it—even if they know it is Ramadan—their fast will not be valid.[2]

*    If a person makes an intention at any point in the night after sunset and then eats something after this, the intention is still valid and sufficient; it is not necessary to make another intention.[3]

*    If you made an intention for fasting at night but later firmly decided not to fast, your previous intention becomes invalid. If you do not renew the intention but remain hungry and thirsty throughout the day, your fast will not be valid.[4]

*    If someone only intends to break the fast but does not actually do so, their fast remains valid.[5]

*    Eating at suḥūr counts as making an intention, whether it is for a Ramadan fast or any other fast. Yet, if someone eats suḥūr but
