Have you noticed! The pious people of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ remain patient despite being deprived of some blessings as if they never lost those blessings. Therefore, following in the footsteps of these personages we should also get into the habit of being patient on these troubles and express thanks for the blessings because these both practices are such great and beautiful habits due to which a person attains the great status and dignity like Siddiqiyyat.
Status of people having patience
Sayyiduna Ibn ‘Abbas رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰی عَـنْـهُمَا has stated: The very first thing that Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ has recorded in ‘Lawh-e-Mahfuz’ is: I am Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ). No one other than Me is worthy to be worshipped. Muhammad (صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم) is My Rasool. One who accepts My decision and remains patient on the trouble I give him and expresses thanks for My blessings, I record him as ‘Siddeeq’ and will resurrect him with ‘Siddiqeen’. And the one who does not accept My decision and does not remain patient on the trouble I give him, and does not express thanks for My blessings, then he may make whoever he wants his Lord except Me. (Tafseer Qurtubi, part 30, Al-Burooj, Taht-al-Ayah: 22, vol. 10, pp. 210)
Regarding this blessed Hadees ‘Allamah Muhammad ‘Abdur Ra`oof Manaawi رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has said: Every matter of a believer is amazing because every deed of a believer contains only goodness, whereas unbelievers and hypocrites do not have this virtue at all. If a believer attains health and safety, he expresses thanks. It is better for him because he is recorded amongst thankful people and when he receives anything painful, he remains patient and is recorded amongst the people [who have patience] who have been praised in the Holy Quran. As long as he is in trouble the doors of mercy remain open for him. So it is also better for him. Therefore, every believer should express thanks as he attains the blessings and should remain patient as he suffers from a trouble.
