Therefore, we come to know that when a person does not have children, they can be granted sustenance without making any effort, and they can acquire sustenance through one way or another. However, once a person becomes a parent, it is necessary upon them to exert some effort in order to receive sustenance. Did you see how sayyidatunā Maryam رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهَا would receive fruits in her mehrab without making any effort or struggle, but once her son, sayyidunā ʿĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام was born, she was commanded by Allah Almighty to exert some effort by shaking the date-palm tree, and only then was she granted dates.[1]

Dear Islamic brothers! The account that we should just heard has been related from the book of Maktabat al-Madinah, entitled, Quranic Wonders. اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه Besides this account, this book contains many beautiful Quranic narrations and incidents.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! There is no doubt that the noble Prophets عَـلَـيْهِمُ الصَّلٰوة وَالسَّلام are perfect in every quality of theirs, and Allah Almighty bestows them with such abilities and miracles that leave the mind awestruck. اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه Allah Almighty also bestowed many miracles upon his Prophet ʿĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام, and signs of his prophethood began to appear in his childhood. Let us refresh our faith by listening to an astonishing account from the childhood of sayyidunā ʿĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام.

He spoke during his infancy!

Dear Islamic brothers! When sayyidatunā Maryam رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهَا entered the land of Banī Isrāīl with sayyidunā ʿĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام in her lap, the people began to accuse her of committing an indecent act, مَعاذَ الـلّٰـه. They said, “O Maryam! You have committed a most evil deed. But your father was
