ʿimāma became caught up in the branches). He then stopped and removed it (because he did this, I have done the same).[1]

There are many stories like this of the Companions رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُم. For their sake, may Allah Almighty allow us to learn and act upon the sunnah of His beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.

اٰمِیْنْ بِجَاہِ خَاتَمِ النَّبِیّٖن صلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہ ِوَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                          صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

When the sins of the heart and mind are erased

Dear Islamic brothers! We heard a story of ʿUthmān b. ʿAffān رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ, in which he made wudu, smiled, and narrated a Hadith regarding the removal of sins when a person makes wudu. When one washes his face and hands, moistens his head, and washes his feet, the sins of those body parts fall away.

سُبْحٰنَ اللہ This shows us that making wudu causes our sins to be washed away. Mufti Aḥmad Yār Khān Naʿīmī رَحمۃُ اللہِ علیہ comments on this Hadith, “Bear in mind, this Hadith does not mean the sins of the face, hands, head, and feet alone are forgiven. By making wudu, every sin is forgiven, even those performed in the heart and mind.”[2]
