Pearls of Wisdom on Reliance and Contentment

Dear Islamic brothers! Let us gain the honour of listening to a few pearls of wisdom about reliance on Allah Almighty and contentment. First, here are two blessed hadith of the Greatest Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.

1) "Contentment is an inexhaustible treasure."[1]

2) "Indeed, successful is the person who embraced Islam, was provided with sufficient sustenance, and who Allah granted contentment alongside what else He bestowed."[2]

*    Contentment is to be satisfied with whatever Allah Almighty provides, leaving aside greed and selfishness.[3]

*    Contentment is being satisfied even when everyday necessities are not available.[4]

*    There are three levels of reliance: Trusting in Allah Almighty, submitting to His command, and entrusting all matters to Him.[5]
