The devotee of Ghawth al-Aʿẓam رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه
Once, in the ancestral village of Mawlana Ilyas Attar al-Qadiri, دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ (in Gujarat, India), there lived a devoted follower of Ghawth al-Aʿẓam Shaykh ʿAbd al-Qādir Jīlānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه.
He commemorated the 11th night of every Islamic month with great reverence. He had special respect for descendants of the Prophet, (sayyids) and treated even the young sayyid children with great affection, often carrying them around and buying them sweets.
One day, this devotee passed away. His body was covered with a shroud, and mourners gathered around. Suddenly, his funeral shroud moved, and the devotee sat up, causing everyone to flee in fear. He called out, "Do not be afraid, listen to me!" When people approached him, he said, "Just now, my murshid, the leading saint, Ghawth al-Aʿẓam, Shaykh ʿAbd al-Qādir Jīlānī رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه came to me. He nudged me and said, 'Being my follower, how could you die without repenting? Get up and repent.' Praise be to Allah! My soul has returned so I can repent." After saying this, the devotee repented from all his sins and recited the Kalima. Suddenly, his head tilted to one side and he passed away.[1]
Congratulations to all devotees
سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه Dear Islamic brothers! How magnificent is the status of our Ghawth al-Aʿẓam, Shaykh ʿAbd al-Qādir Jīlānī رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه. Praise be to Allah! There is good news for devotees of Ghawth al-Aʿẓam, as he himself said: "My murīd, no matter how sinful he is, will not die until he has repented.”[2] And whoever leaves this world after repenting will succeed in avoiding Hell and entering Paradise - اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه.
