Book Name:Qaroon Ko Naseehat
Indeed, Qārūn was from the nation of Mūsā, then he transgressed against them. And We had granted him so much treasure that its keys were certainly burdensome for a group of strong individuals. When his nation said to him, “Do not be vain! Allah does not like the conceited. And seek the abode of the Hereafter with that which Allah granted you and do not forget your share from the world and do good just as Allah has bestowed goodness upon you, and do not seek discord in the land; Allah does not like those who spread discord.”[1]
If Qārūn had accepted and acted upon the five pieces of advice that the righteous Israelites gave him, he could have avoided his disastrous end. However, his heart gave in to darkness as this ill-fated man ignored the wise advice of the righteous believers. What was the result? His arrogance grew to such an extent that he disrespected Prophet Musa عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم. In the end, Qārūn was swallowed by the earth; his account became a lesson and warning for creation thereafter.
Dear Islamic brothers! These five counsels are full of wisdom for all of us, especially for the wealthy. Let us reflect on the lessons in these five valuable pieces of advice:
The righteous believers advised Qārūn, saying:
