I make intention of Sunnah iꜤtikāf

Dear Islamic brothers! Whenever you enter the mosque, remember to make the intention of I'tikaaf. As long as you remain in the mosque, you will continue to earn the reward of I'tikaaf. Keep in mind that it is not permissible according to Shariah to eat, drink, sleep, have Suhoor, Iftar, or even drink Zamzam water or water upon which prayers have been recited, in the mosque. However, if you make the intention of I'tikaaf, all these activities become permissible by extension. The intention of I'tikaaf should not solely be for eating, drinking, or sleeping, but rather for seeking the pleasure of Allah, the Almighty.

In Fatawa Shami, it is stated: If someone wishes to eat, drink, or sleep in the mosque, they should make the intention of I'tikaaf, engage in the remembrance of Allah for a while, and then do as they wish (i.e., eat, drink, or sleep).
