We must realize that today could very well be the last day of our lives, or tonight might be our final night. We don’t even have the assurance of completing our next breath. It is entirely possible that the breath we are taking now may be our last, and the next may never come.
We often hear news of individuals who seemed perfectly fine, with no apparent illness, suddenly passing away due to heart failure within moments. Therefore, instead of indulging in unnecessary desires and long hopes, we should constantly remind ourselves of death.
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Sayyidunā ꜤAbdullāh b. Muhammad al-Qurayshī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه narrates:
In a certain city, there lived a very wealthy young man who was blessed with all kinds of worldly luxuries. Among his possessions was a very beautiful slave girl whom he loved dearly. His days and nights were spent in luxury and enjoyment, yet despite all these blessings, he was deprived of the gift of children.
The young man greatly desired to have a child, but for a long time, this happiness eluded him. Eventually, by the grace of Allah Almighty, the slave girl became expectant. This news filled the young man with immense joy. He could hardly contain his excitement, and the anticipation of becoming a father grew with each passing day.
However, that which Allah Almighty had preordained came to pass. As the awaited time approached, the young man suddenly fell ill. Within a few days his condition worsened, and he passed away from this disloyal world, carrying with him the despair of being unable to witness his child. On the very night of his demise,
