صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic Brothers! Always remember that the day of death is fixed. No matter where we go in this world, whether we hide in the strongest of buildings or lock ourselves away in magnificent palaces, death will undoubtedly come at its appointed time.
As stated in Juzˈ 5, Surah An-Nisāˈ, verse 78, Allah Almighty declares:
اَیۡنَ مَا تَکُوۡنُوۡا یُدۡرِکۡکُّمُ الۡمَوۡتُ وَ لَوۡ کُنۡتُمۡ فِیۡ بُرُوۡجٍ مُّشَیَّدَۃٍ ؕ
Wherever you are, death will indeed seize you, even if you are within fortified castles.[1]
It is narrated that once the Angel of Death, عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم came to Prophet Sulaiman عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم and kept looking intently at a person sitting near him. Then the Angel of Death عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم left. The man asked Prophet Sulaymān عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم, "Who was that?"
Prophet Sulaymān عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم replied, "That was the Angel of Death."
The man said, "When I noticed him looking at me like that, it felt as if he had come to take my soul."
