She was blessed with three sons and three daughters:

*    Her sons: Ḥasan, Ḥusayn, and Muḥsin رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُم.

*    Her daughters: Zaynab, Umm Kulthūm, and Ruqayyah رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُنَّ.[1]

She passed away six months after the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم left this physical world, on the 3rd of Ramadan, 11 AH. Her blessed resting place is in Jannat al-BaqīꜤ (Madinah).[2]

May Allah Almighty bestow His immense mercy upon her and grant us forgiveness for her sake.

اٰمِیْنْ بِجَاہِ خاتَمِ النَّبِیّٖن صلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہ ِوَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Two great qualities of Lady Fāimah رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا

The virtues and excellences of Lady Fāṭimah رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهَا are beyond enumeration. Islamic scholars have written numerous books on her qualities and virtues. Let us reflect on two of them. The first is her detachment from the world (otherwise known as faqr) and second is her spirit of goodwill and selflessness.

Lady Fāṭimah رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا was an embodiment of both these qualities.

What is faqr?

In common language, faqr is often understood to mean poverty. Yet, this is not the meaning intended when referring to Lady Fāṭimah رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا; Allah Almighty protect us from all forms of disrespect! No one can be wealthier than her, for she is the daughter of the Prophet, who is the
