Condolences expressed on the passing of Peer Sayyid Abdul Haq Shah Geelani

نَحْمَدُہٗ وَنُصَلِّیْ وَنُسَلِّمُ عَلٰی رَسُوْلِهِ النَّبِیِّ الْکَرِیْم 

On behalf of Sag-e-Madinah, Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadiri Razavi عُفِیَ عَـنْهُ,

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَکَاتُهٗ

I received the sad news that the father of Peer Sayyid Ghulam Muhiyyuddin Shah Geelani and Peer Sayyid Qutb-ul-Haq Shah Geelani, Peer Sayyid Abdul Haq Shah Geelani, commonly known as Chotay Lala Jee Sarkar (custodian of Aastanah ‘Aaliyyah Golrah Shareef Islamabad), passed away on 8^th Zul Hijja-til-Haraam 1441 AH at the age of 94 in Golrah Shareef after a long illness.

اِنَّا لِلهِ وَاِنَّآ اِلَیْهِ رٰجِعُوْن۔

I send my condolences to all the bereaved and advise them to be patient and courageous. O Lord of Mustafa جَلَّ جَلَالُهٗ وَ صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! Envelop Peer Sayyid Abdul Haq Shah Geelani with mercy. O Allah! Forgive all of his minor and major sins. O Allah! May his grave become an abode of peace and a garden of Paradise; cover it with mercy; expand it as far as one’s sight can see; bestow it with the bounty of Prophetic light; and keep it luminous until the Day of Judgement. O Generous Lord! Forgive him without accountability and grant him the neighbourhood of Your Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in Jannat-ul-Firdaus. Grant all the bereaved patience and countless reward upon this patience. O Generous Lord! Grant [me] reward according to Your magnificence for my deficient deeds and bestow all of this reward to the Noble Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. By means of the Merciful Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, send all of this reward to Peer Sayyid Abdul Haq Shah Geelani and the entire Muslim ummah.

اٰمِیْن بِجَاہِ النَّبِیِّ الْاَمِیْن صلَّی اللہ علیہ واٰلہٖ وسلَّم

It a Madani request to all the bereaved that adopt patience. Expressing impatience through crying and weeping will not bring back the deceased. If the time has come, then one must go. Soon it will be our turn, as no one remains in the world forever. The one who attained the treasure of happiness in this world also faced the pain of death. Whoever plucked the flowers of joy here was eventually injured by the thorns of death.

(After this, Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ mentioned the following Hadees to convey reward:)

The Final Prophet of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: ‘Salah is a sign of Faith. So, whoever preserves Salah wholeheartedly whilst being mindful of its obligatory acts, sunnahs and manners, he is a believer.’

(Firdaus-ul-Akhbar, vol. 3, p. 41, Hadees 4102) Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه has stated: ‘Preserving means to offer Salah with steadfastness and punctuality.’ (Mirat-ul-Manajih, vol. 1, p. 376)

He دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ also prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and conveyed reward to them.

Shaykh-e-Tareeqat, Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ also expressed condolences upon the passing of many other devotees of the Prophet, prayed for their forgiveness and conveyed reward to them.
