asked Sayyiduna Jibraeel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم: “What is this cool, pure and fragrant breeze and what is this voice?” Sayyiduna Jibraeel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم replied: “It is the voice of Paradise, which is saying, ‘O Allah Almighty! Send towards me the dwellers of Paradise and those whom you have promised to me, and indeed, I contain an abundance of pleasant fragrances, elegant clothes of silk and brocade, matchless things, pearls, corals, gold, silver, jugs with spouts, fruits, honey, milk and pure wine. So, grant them entry into me as You have promised me.’”

So, Allah Almighty said to it, “For you is every Muslim man and woman who believes in Me and My Prophets, performs good deeds, does not associate partners with Me and does not make anyone equal to Me. I will grant refuge to the one who fears Me; I will bestow upon the one who asks Me; I will recompense the one who lends to Me (by giving Sadaqat Wajibah and Naafilah); I fulfil the needs of those who have trust in Me. And I am Allah; none is worthy of worship except Me; I do not go against My promise. Indeed, the believers are successful.” (After this, Allah Almighty stated the attributes of the successful believers that are mentioned in Surah al-Mu’mineen). Upon this, Paradise said, “I am pleased.”^[1]

Dear Islamic brothers! You heard of how Paradise mentioned the marvellous and amazing bounties that are found within it, and requested in the court of Allah Almighty to admit into it those fortunate people who will be the recipients of those bounties. Upon this, Allah Almighty, the Creator of the universe, told Paradise about those who will reside within it, i.e. the believing men and women, and then described the attributes of the successful believers. Let us hear those attributes:

Allah Almighty has said regarding those fortunate inheritors of
