may ask for charity despite having wealth, whereas the borrower only borrows due to need.’”[1]

Dear Islamic brothers! From this blessed Hadith we also learn that if any Muslim needs a loan, then with the intention of gaining the pleasure of Allah Almighty and other good intentions, we should help them according to our ability, and earn rewards in abundance. Remember that Allah Almighty showers His special grace and mercy upon those who lend money and treat their debtors with kindness.

Forgiveness for being lenient with a debtor

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ narrates that the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: “There was a person who never performed a good deed. However, he would lend money to people, and would say to his workers: ‘If the debtor is in a good state, then take the loan from him, but if he is needy, then do not take it (in fact, excuse him and give him more time). If only our Lord would also pardon us!’

When he left this temporary world, Allah Almighty asked him: ‘Did you ever perform a good deed?’ He said: ‘No! However, I would give loans to people, and when I would send my servant to collect them, I would tell him to collect the loan if the debtor was in a good state, and to never collect from a needy person. Rather, they should be excused, so that perhaps (by means of this), Allah Almighty excuses us.’ Upon this, Allah Almighty stated: ‘(Go!) I have forgiven you.’”[2]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                                                 صَلَّى اللّٰه عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Grand palaces

It is narrated that on the night of Mi’raaj, the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم saw some towering palaces in Paradise. Upon enquiring
