testimony to لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللہُ and repenting (istighfār). The two which you are not able to do without are asking Allah for Paradise and seeking refuge from Hell.[1]
2. He who makes dhikr Allah during Ramaḍān is forgiven, and he who asks from Allah in this month is not left deprived.[2]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers! We have just discussed ways in which we can spend this upcoming month in good deeds. These include offering much salah, keeping every fast, asking for Paradise, praying for salvation from Hell, treating Islamic brothers with kindness, reciting invocations in large amounts, making dhikr of Allah or repenting. One of the most distinguished, important and rewardable actions in this month is to recite the Quran. If only we were able to spend as much time as physically possibly reciting the book of Allah in Ramaḍān! Countless times over, our beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم encouraged us to recite the Quran and explained the immense excellences of this.
Let us listen to two hadith in this regard.
1. He who recites the Quran will come forth on the Day of Judgement, and the Quran will say, “O Allah! Dress him in the clothes of Paradise.” He shall then be made to wear an honourable garment of Paradise. The Quran will say, “O Allah! Increase this!” He will then be made to wear a noble crown.
