Specific dates and times in every month have a special form of worship. For example, ḥajj during specific days of Eid al-Aḍḥā or the 10th of Muḥarram. Yet every day and moment of Ramaḍān has an act of worship taking place. Fasting is worship. Ifṭār is worship. Waiting to perform tarāwīḥ is worship. Performing tarāwīḥ prayers is worship. Waiting until the time of suḥūr is worship even sleeping. Then awakening and eating the suḥūr meal is also worship. In short, every moment is spent glorifying Allah.[1]

When those who fast in this blessed month make duʿā, angels say āmīn and fish seek forgiveness for them.[2]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب    صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! Rejoice! Prepare yourselves for various acts of worship, reciting the Quran, making dhikr and other good deeds. Thank Allah for allowing you to experience the wonders of Ramaḍān one more time. The virtues of this month are such, that the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would explain its excellences to his Companions رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْہُم before the month arrived and encouraged them to perform worship during it.

A month of blessings is approaching!

The Companion Salmān Farsi رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ explains:

On the final day of Shʿabān, Allah’s Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم delivered a sermon:

O people! A sacred month of blessing is approaching, containing a night better than a thousand months. Allah made it obligatory to fast during this month. It is sunnah to stand in worship throughout the night (in tarāwīḥ salah). He who performs a good
