The Companions taught these subjects to others, but firstly and before anything else, they would describe the qualities and excellences of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.

Why did they do this? This was because by describing and listening to the Prophet’s qualities, it increases love for him in one’s heart. It blossoms into a heartfelt connection to him. The stronger connection one has to him from their heart, the stronger their faith is, and the stronger their faith is, the more they want to do good deeds and take joy in doing so. This takes a person to the path leading to Paradise.

The scholar Muhammad b. Ḥusayn ˈĀjurrī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه explains, “It is hugely abhorrent for the ummah to remain unaware of the attributes, excellences, and perfections granted by Allah to the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in this world and the Hereafter.”^[1]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

The sacred body of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم

Dear Islamic brothers! To practically follow the Companions, and further our love for the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, let us now discuss certain miracles of the Prophet’s miraculous, sanctified and blessed body.      

Our Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is a miracle from head to toe

Allah declares in the 174^th verse of Sūrat al-Nisā:

یٰۤاَیُّہَا النَّاسُ قَدۡ جَآءَکُمۡ  بُرۡہَانٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّکُمۡ

O people! Indeed, there has come to you clear proof (i.e. the Prophet Muhammad) from Allah^[2]
