Book Name:Koshish Kamyabi Ki Kunji Hai

When Shaykh ꜤAbd al-Qādir al-Jīlānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه was travelling with the caravan from Jilan to Baghdad in order to seek knowledge, and they passed Hamadan, 60 bandits attacked the caravan and stole everything.

Shaykh ꜤAbd al-Qādir al-Jīlānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه mentions:

One of the thieves came to me and asked, “O boy! Do you have something too?”

 I replied, “Yes.”

So, he asked me, “What is it?”

“40 gold coins,” I replied.

“Where are they?” he asked.

I said, “Under my cloak.”

Thinking that I was joking, the thief left me. Then another robber approached and asked the same. When I gave the same response, he also thought I was joking, and left. When all the robbers gathered near their leader, they told him about me, and I was called there.

They were busy in distributing the stolen goods. The leader asked me, “What do you have?”

“40 gold coins,” I responded.

He then said, “Search him!”

When the truth was revealed after being searched, he asked in surprise, “What caused you to speak the truth?”

“The advice of my mother,” I said.

“What was that advice?” he asked.
