رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه, offered Fajr prayer with the ablution of ꜤIshāˈ. And for 15 years, he completed the entire noble Quran every night.[1] He رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه would also offer 1,000 units of voluntary prayer every day.[2]

Worship carried out by Sayyidunā Sufyān al-Thawrī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه

Someone saw Sayyidunā Sufyān al-Thawrī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه in a dream after he passed away. So, they asked him:

مَا فَعَلَ اللہُ  بِکَ

“How did Allah Almighty deal with you?”

He رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه replied:

I saw Allah Almighty, and He said to me, ‘O Ibn SaꜤīd! Congratulations! I am pleased with you, for when night would fall, you would worship Me with tears and a gentle heart. Paradise is before you, so take whichever palace you wish, and continue to look at Me, as I am not far from you.’[3]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers, you heard of how much our pious predecessors رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـهُ would strive to attain the pleasure of Allah Almighty. Be it day or night, the aim of their life was one: we must please our Lord. When those blessed individuals worshipped Allah Almighty in the manner that we have been commanded to, He would give them glad tidings of gaining His pleasure.
