مَامِنْ عَبْدَيْنِ مُتَحَابَّيْنِ فِي اللهِ يَسْتَقْبِلُ اَحَدُهُما صَاحِبَهُ فَيُصَافِحُه ويُصَلِّيَانِ عَلَى النَّبيِّ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ واٰلہٖ وَسَلَّمَ اِلَّا لَمْ يَفْتَرِقَا حتّٰى تُغْفَر َذُنُوْبُهُمَامَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْهُمَا وَمَا تَأَخَّرَت

“There are no two people who love each other for the sake of Allah Almighty, shake hands, and send ṣalāt upon the Prophetصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم when they meet, except that their previous and future sins are forgiven before they part ways.”[1]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

An important point

For righteous and permissible work, the more good intentions we make, the more reward we attain.

Intentions of listening to the speech

1.   Lowering my eyes, I will listen to the speech attentively.

2.   Instead of resting against a wall, etc., I will sit in the tashahhud position as long as possible with the intention of showing respect for religious knowledge.

3.   When I hear صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب, اُذۡكُرُوا اللّٰه, تُوۡبُوۡا اِلَى اللّٰه, etc., I will reply loudly with the intention of gaining reward.

4.   After the speech, I will approach people to say salām, shake hands and to make individual efforts upon them.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers, be it the affairs of the world or of the Hereafter, making an effort is necessary for success. This is why it is said that “effort
