He was born on Monday 1st of Ramadan, at the time of Fajr. At that time, his lips were moving slightly and sounds of “Allah, Allah” could be heard.[1]
O devotees of Shaykh ꜤAbd al-Qādir al-Jīlānī, it was certainly from the grace and bounty of Allah Almighty that he displayed many marvels in childhood.
Shaykh ꜤAbd al-Ḥaqq Muḥaddith al-Diḥlawī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه writes the following about the great rank and marvels of Shaykh ꜤAbd al-Qādir al-Jīlānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه:
In terms of miracles, none from the great saints can match him, to the extent that some of the Shaykhs said, “The miracles of Shaykh ꜤAbd al-Qādir al-Jīlānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه are like a string of pearls, such that when it breaks, one pearl after another falls. His miracles are beyond enumeration.[2]
Shaykh ꜤAbd al-Qādir al-Jīlānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه possessed countless marvels and qualities. The blessings of his name alone are so great that one attains protection from harmful animals wherever he is mentioned. Ponder, if the blessing of his name is that it prevents wild animals from attacking and causing harm, then what can be said about the blessings and miracles of his actual being.
