* He was a sayyid from the Prophetic Household.
* His family was renowned for its ascetism and piety.
* His mother’s name was Sayyidah Fāṭimah, and her teknonym was Umm al-Khayr.[1]
* His father’s name was Sayyid Mūsā, his teknonym was Abū Ṣāliḥ, and his title was ‘Jangī Dost’.
* He was a Ḥasanī Sayyid through his father’s side, and a Ḥusaynī Sayyid through his mother’s lineage.
* His noble father, Sayyid Abū Ṣāliḥ Mūsā رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه was from among the renowned saints of his time.[2]

Dear Islamic brothers, generally speaking, when a baby is in the womb, it is unaware of the world and what it contains, and even after it arrives into the world, it is after quite some time that it gains some awareness. However, Shaykh ꜤAbd al-Qādir al-Jīlānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه is that amazing personality whose state was different to that of others in childhood and even prior to being born. He manifested marvels in childhood, and even before and after his birth.
