*    Some pray occasionally when they feel like it, while others don’t pray at all.

*    Some offer only two or four prayers and feel satisfaction.

*    Some abandon praying in congregation.

The misfortune of neglecting prayer

Remember! Prayer is the most essential pillar of the religion. Allah Almighty states in the noble Quran:

فَخَلَفَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِھِمْ خَلْفٌ اَضَاعُوا الصَّلٰوۃَ وَ اتَّبَعُوا الشَّہَوٰتِ فَسَوْفَ یَلْقَوْنَ  غَیًّا (ۙ۵۹)

So the unworthy succeeded them who neglected the prayer and followed desires, so soon they will meet the terrifying valley of Ghay (in Hell).[1]

This blessed verse mentions Ghayy, which is a valley in Hell. Sayyidunā Mufti Muḥammad Amjad ꜤAlī al-AꜤẓamī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه states:

Ghayy is a valley in Hell, and its heat and depth are the most intense. In it, there is a well named Hab-Hab. When the fire of Hell starts to subside, Allah Almighty opens the well, and the fire  blazes as intensely as before.[2]

O devotees of the Messenger! Tremble with the fear of Allah Almighty and hasten to repent for your sins! The Quran informs us that those who neglect their prayers will be deserving of the terrifying well in the valley of Ghayy in Hell. To understand the terror of this well, stand at the edge of a deep well in this world, gazing into its dark depths. Now, think about being confined in such a well; could you endure such punishment? If not,
