* Being so engrossed in the pursuit of wealth that one forgets Allah Almighty, neglects prayers and other acts of worship, etc.When wealth is accumulated in such a way, it is extremely destructive and leads to ruin.
The greed for wealth has destroyed you
Allah Almighty states:
اَلْہٰکُمُ التَّکَاثُرُ ۙ(۱) حَتّٰی زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ ؕ(۲)
The desire of amassing wealth has made you heedless. Until you saw the graves.[1]
In these blessed verses, we are reminded that we have come into this world for a limited time, and one day, we will depart from here and be laid to rest in our graves. We know this fact, but the desire for accumulating more and more wealth has made us heedless.
* When we receive a hundred thousand, we desire two hundred thousand.
* If we receive two hundred thousand, we wish for four hundred thousand.

When we become
millionaires, we yearn to become billionaires.
Thus, we are consumed by this desire for wealth, forgetting about death,
forgetting about being lowered in to the grave, forgetting about the questions
that will be asked by the angels in the grave, forgetting the darkness,
pressing, confinement and solitude of the grave, forgetting the Day of Judgment
and the accountability of every blessing we enjoyed.
Instead, we are constantly striving for "more and more," spending our days and nights in this pursuit. But whether we
