but then Allah Almighty granted them such a high status that everyone was left astonished.

ꜤAllāmah al-Taftāzānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه was blessed

ꜤAllāmah SaꜤīd al-Dīn MasꜤūd b. ꜤUmar al-Taftāzānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه was a major scholar and many of his books are taught in the Islamic scholarship course. ꜤAllāmah al-Taftāzānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه used to study under Qāḍī al-Shīrāzī  رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه and was considered the least intelligent student in his class. His fellow classmates would tease him due to his unintelligence. Despite this, ꜤAllāmah al-Taftāzānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه did not give up and continued to work hard. He would memorise his lessons with great difficulty, but would forget them, so he would memorise them again.

Once, he رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه was busy in memorising his lessons when a stranger came and said, “O MasꜤūd, stand! Let us go for a stroll.”

ꜤAllāmah al-Taftāzānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه replied, “I was not created for wandering and enjoyment. Besides, I cannot understand anything even after studying so hard, so how can I waste time wandering around?”

Hearing this, the stranger left and then returned again a while later. He again invited ꜤAllāmah al-Taftāzānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه to go for a stroll, but the latter gave the same response. Sometime later, the same man returned for the third time and said, “The final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is calling you.”

Hearing this, ꜤAllāmah al-Taftāzānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه began to shake and he ran bare-footed to see the beloved صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. The beloved Prophet           صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was sitting under a tree outside the city. He صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم smiled upon seeing ꜤAllāmah al-Taftāzānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه, and said, “You did not come despite our repeated invitation?”

He رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه replied, “O Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, I was not aware that it was you who was calling me. O Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, you know about my unintelligence; I seek a remedy in your court.”
