Allah Almighty can raise the dead

Ubayy bin Khalaf was a famous disbeliever in Makkah. One day, he picked up an old, decayed, human bone and took it to the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, rejected the resurrection and said, “O Muhammad صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! Do you promise us that when our bones become old and decay, Allah will resurrect us on the Day of Judgement and grant us life again?” Then he crushed the bone in his hands, threw the dust into the air and said, “O Muhammad صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! Who can resurrect this?”

The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم responded, “Allah the All-Powerful will give you death, then He will grant you life and cast you into hell.” Then these verses of Surah Yā Sīn were revealed:^[1]

وَ ضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَّ نَسِیَ خَلْقَہٗ ؕ قَالَ مَنْ  یُّحْیِ  الْعِظَامَ  وَ  ھِیَ  رَمِیْمٌ (۷۸) قُلْ یُحْیِیْہَا الَّذِیْۤ  اَنْشَاَھَاۤ  اَوَّلَ  مَرَّۃٍ ؕ وَ  ھُوَ  بِکُلِّ  خَلْقٍ عَلِیْمُۨ  (ۙ۷۹)

And he states an example for Us and has forgotten his creation. He said, “Who gives life to bones when they have disintegrated?” Say, “He will give them life Who created them the very first time; and He knows every creation.”^[2]

In summary, these verses explains how foolish this man is who gives an example and forgets about his creation. Has he forgotten that he was created from an impure sperm drop, which is lowlier than an old bone? By His perfect power, Allah Almighty transformed this sperm drop, giving it hands, feet, a nose, ears, eyes, a heart, a brain, and bringing forth from it a living human. Now he has forgotten he was created, and his arrogance has led him to deny the power of Allah Almighty and argue
