صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

O devotees of the Messenger! Indeed, affirmation of the journey of MiꜤrāj contains a test of one’s faith. This is because traveling in a wakeful state, physically to the heavens, the mighty ꜤArsh, in fact, even beyond to Lā Makān, in a very short span of time is beyond the intellect. That is the reason why those whose hearts were void of the light of faith not only denied this great event but also ridiculed it in different ways. But those whose hearts were thriving with the light of certainty did not fall prey to any worry or doubt and believed in this Prophetic miracle without any proof. Just as it is related regarding Sayyidunā Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ.

The Prophetic Companion that testified to the journey of Mirāj

The mother of the believers, Sayyidah ꜤĀˈishah al-Ṣiddīqah رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا states:

When the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was taken from al-Masjid al-Ḥarām to al-Masjid al-Aqṣā, he صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم mentioned the whole account to people the following morning.

Some non-Muslims ran to Sayyidunā Abū Bakr رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ and said, “Do you testify to what your friend has said that he went from al-Masjid al-Ḥarām to al-Masjid al-Aqṣā in the same night?’

He رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ asked, “Did the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم actually say this?”
