permission of Allah Almighty, he صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was aware of the unseen during his lifetime too.

I will be patient in order to earn good deeds.” The beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم responded, “If you do this, you will enter Paradise without accountability.” After the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم passed away, his eyesight began to deteriorate. After some time, Allah Almighty restored his vision, and then he passed away.[1]
