amount of knowledge they received differs; only the giver and receiver are aware of its extent.

Regarding the knowledge of the unseen of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم , the Quran states:

وَ مَا ہُو عَلَی الۡغَیۡبِ بِضَنِیۡنٍ (ۚ۲۴)

Translation from Kanz al-Īmān: “And this Prophet is not miserly in revealing (the knowledge of) the unseen.”[1]

It is stated in Tafsīr Khāzin regarding this verse, “The meaning of the verse is that the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم receives knowledge of the unseen and is not miserly with it in regards to you, rather he informs you.”[2] We deduce from the commentary of this verse that the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم informs people about the knowledge of the unseen, and it is apparent that only the one who possesses such knowledge can tell others about it.

Sayyiduna Imam Ibn Hajar Makki رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states:

This Hadith refers to Imam Abu Hanifa رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه. There is no doubt in this as nobody could match his rank in knowledge from the people of Persia during his lifetime. In fact, they could not even reach the rank of his students (in knowledge). This also
