Book Name:Zawal Ke Asbab
which the people above say, “What is wrong with you?” He replies, “You are troubled by me coming up to get water despite me needing to.” Now if they prevent him from doing that, they will save him and themselves, but if they leave him, they will destroy him and themselves.”[1]
It is written in Mirāt al-Manājīḥ:
The example in this hadith highlights the importance of forbidding evil and commanding good. If we abandon these actions on the basis that the one committing evil will face the consequences alone without affecting us, this is incorrect. The results of his sins will affect the entire community, similar to how the one who made the hole in the boat was not the only person who would have drowned. The sins of a few people can spread throughout an entire community.[2]
Dear Islamic brothers! This is the cause of downfall. When nations refuse to invite towards goodness and forbid evil, their success turns into failure. This is why it is essential for all of us to undertake this responsibility to the best of our ability.
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
The fourth responsibility of the Muslim ummah is mentioned in the Quran like so:
وَ تُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰہِ ؕ
And you believe in Allah [3]
