Zawal Ke Asbab

Book Name:Zawal Ke Asbab

This quality is possessed by every Muslim اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه We believe in Allah and worship Him alone. Yet we must ask ourselves: do we fulfil all the requirements of faith?

What is the Reality of Faith?

The saint Ibrāhīm al-Khawwāṣ رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه was asked, “What does faith truly mean? What is it’s reality?” He replied, “Protecting your reliance upon Allah is the reality of faith.”[1]

We must rely upon Allah at all times, and this reliance should not decrease if our situation is dire. Protecting this is the reality of faith. Let’s think this over now. Do we rely upon Allah? Some unknowing Muslims are lost in the pleasures of this world. Their reliance has become weak. They chase rizq, yet completely forget about the Rāziq (as in, they forget Allah in their pursuit of sustenance, when it is only He who will give it to them)! In search of asbāb, they forget the Musabbib al-Asbāb (in search of means and ways to get what they want, they forget about Allah, when it is only He who will create these openings for them).

The Proof of Islam, Imam Muhammad al-Ghazālī   رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه explains, “Tawakkul is to believe in the absolute power of Allah, and to believe in hidden means as well as the apparent.”[2]

Have Faith in Allah! If You Are Believers!

Allah states:

وَ عَلَی اللّٰہِ  فَتَوَکَّلُوۡۤا اِنۡ کُنۡتُمۡ  مُّؤۡمِنِیۡنَ (۲۳)

And place trust in only Allah, if you are believers [3]
