the final Prophet of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:

The month of Ramadan has come to you! It is a month full of blessings. During this sacred month, the mercy of Allah covers you. In this blessed month, sins are erased. In this holy month, supplications are accepted. In this revered month, Allah observes your enthusiasm for good deeds and extols you in front of the angels. So, in this sacred month, present your good deeds and righteousness to Allah! Indeed, the truly unfortunate person is the one who remains deprived of Allah’s mercy even in this month.^[1]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Two important points

Dear Islamic brothers, two phrases from this Hadith are very significant:

1.   ینظرُ اللہُ اِلیٰ تَنَافُسِکُمْ

“Allah observes your enthusiasm for good deeds in this month."

2.   فَاَرُوا اللہَ مِنْ اَنْفُسِکُمْ خَیْرًا

"So, present your good deeds and righteousness before Allah!"

This means that in this blessed month, there is special observation of our dedication and passion for righteousness. It is observed that:

*    Ramadan has been granted, so who among us reforms themselves?

*    Ramadan has arrived, so who increases their recitation of the Quran?
