The noble Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:
مَنْ اَحَبَّ سُنَّتِی فَقَدْ اَحَبَّنِی وَمَنْ اَحَبَّنِی كَانَ مَعِیَ فِی الْجَنَّةِ
"Whoever loves my Sunnah, he has indeed loved me. And whoever loves me shall be with me in Paradise."[1]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Sunan and etiquettes of the azan
Dear Islamic brothers! Let us gain the honour of learning about the sunan and etiquettes of the azan:
First, here are two blessed sayings of the holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم regarding the virtue of azan:
1. The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: "The one who calls the azan for the sake of [earning] reward is like a martyr drenched in blood, and when he dies, worms will not consume his body in the grave."[2]
2. The holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: "I entered Paradise and saw domes of pearls, and its soil was of musk. I asked, ‘O Jibrīl! Who are these for?’ He replied, “For the muezzins (those who call the azan) and imams of your Ummah.’"[3]
* The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم once gave the azan during a journey and said the words of testimony as:اَشْہَدُ اَ نِّیْ رَسُوْلُ اللہ
