It will be said to them: ‘Eat! For you were hungry yesterday. Drink! For you were thirsty yesterday. Rest! For you were tired yesterday.’ They will eat and rest while the people will be subjected to the difficulties of accountability and thirst.’ (Kanz-ul-Ummal, vol. 8, p. 313, Hadees 23639)

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب       صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers, just like it is a form of good fortune to keep Nafl fasts in order to attain the blessings of Rabi’-ul-Aakhir, similarly, one can also attain the blessings of this month by offering Nafl Salah. We should try our best to offer as much Nafl Salah as we can in this month, especially ‘Ishraq’ and ‘Chaasht’, as there are many virtues of these prayers.

Let us listen to 3 sayings of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم for encouragement:

۔1He صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: ‘Whoever offered the Fajr Salah in congregation and remained busy in the remembrance of Allah Almighty until the sun rose and then offered 2 Rak’aat, he will get the reward of a complete Hajj and Umrah.’ (Tirmizi, vol. 2, p. 100, Hadees 586)

   ۔2He صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: ‘Whoever offered 12 Rak’aat of Chasht, Allah will make a palace of gold for him in Paradise’. (Tirmizi, vol. 2, p. 17, Hadees 472)

۔3He صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: ‘After offering Fajr Salah, whoever remains seated in his place till he offers 2 Rak’aat of Chasht and does not say anything but good, his sins are forgiven even if they are more than the foam of sea’. (Musnad Ahmad, vol. 5, p. 260, Hadees 15623)

Similarly, we should also try to offer the ‘Awwabeen’ prayers in this month. The messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said: ‘Whoever offers 6 Rak’aat after Maghrib in between which he does not say anything immoral, then they will be equivalent to 12 years of worship’. (Mishkat, vol. 1, p. 232, Hadees 1173)
