angry for the sake of our own self without a valid reason. If only we become among those people who abstain from useless speech, spend the majority of their day observing silence, recite the Holy Quran and Salat upon the Prophet.

If only we become such people who give greetings to every Muslim. If only we can become those who do not visit rich and wealthy people for one’s own personal benefits, instead, may we visit them for the purposes of collecting funds and skins of the sacrificed animal for Dawat-e-Islami, the Madani movement of the devotees of the Prophet.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب       صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Rabi’-ul-Aakhir is the month of Giyarveen

O devotees of Ghaus-ul-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه, Rabi’-ul-Aakhir is linked to Sayyiduna Ghaus-ul-A’zam Shaykh Abdul Qaadir Jilani رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه, as he passed away on the 11^th of this month. This is the reason why the devotees of Awliya organise gatherings of sending reward to Sayyiduna Ghaus-ul-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه. With this relevance, this month is also called the month of Giyarveen.

What is Giyarveen Shareef?

‘Allamah Mufti Muhammad Amjad Ali A’zami رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه has stated: ‘On the 11^th of Rabi’ ul-Aakhir, in fact on the 11^th of every month, Fatihah is performed for Sayyiduna Ghaus ul-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه. This is also a form of Isal-e-Sawab (sending reward). In fact, whenever Fatihah is done for Ghaus ul-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه, people call it the Fatihah of ‘Giyarveen’.
