Etiquettes of visiting mausoleums

Dear Islamic brothers! Let us listen to the method of visiting mausoleums and other related points from the booklet of Maktaba-tul-Madina, the publishing department of Dawat-e-Islami, entitled, ‘Mazaraat-e-Awliya ki Hikayaat’:

*   Visiting the blessed mausoleums of the Noble Awliya رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـهُ and taking their blessings has been the tradition of the pious predecessors, just as the Shaykh of the Hanbalis, Imam Khallaal رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه states: Whenever I am faced by a difficulty, I visit the mausoleum of Imam Musa Kaazim Bin Ja’far Sadiq رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ, and present him as my means (Wasilah). Thus, Allah Almighty eases my difficulty and grants me my wish. (Tareekh Baghdad, vol. 1, p. 133)

*   Sayyiduna Imam Shaafi’i رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه said: Whenever I am in need, I offer two Rak’at of Nafl Salah, then visit the mausoleum of Imam-ul-A’zam Abu Hanifah رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه and make Du’a there, thus, Allah Almighty fulfils my need. (Al-Khiraat-ul-Hisaan, p. 230)
