religion, except those whom Allah protects.’ (Shu’ab-ul-Iman Lil Bayhaqi, vol. 5, p. 366, Hadith 697)
The ruling regarding love for fame
Dear Islamic brothers! Thus, we come to know that love for fame (desiring popularity and recognition among the people) is a repugnant and extremely condemnable action, whereas, being unknown, i.e. not desiring to be known among the people, is praiseworthy. Hence, the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘Indeed, there are people from my nation that if they were to ask you for a Dinar, you would not give it to them, and if they were to ask for a Dirham, you would reject them, and if they were to ask for a coin, you would still refuse, but if they were to ask Allah Almighty for Paradise, He would definitely grant it to them, and if they were to ask for something worldly, Allah Almighty would not give it to them, only because the world is worthless in His sight. There are many who wear worn-out clothes that if they were to take an oath by Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty would definitely fulfil it.’ (Al-Mu’jam Al-Awsat, vol. 5, p. 366, Hadith 7568)
It is mentioned in another Hadith: The people of Paradise are those who have dusty faces, dishevelled hair and worn-out clothes, and who are not given any attention. They are those people that if they wished to visit kings, they would not be given permission, if they were to send a marriage proposal to a woman, they would be rejected, if they were to speak, their words would not be heard, their necessities live in their hearts; they are such people of Paradise that if their light was to be distributed to all people on the Day of Judgement, it would suffice them all. (Shu’ab-ul-Iman Lil Bayhaqi, vol. 7, p. 332, Hadith 10486)
Respect every righteous person
Dear Islamic brothers! We come to know that the standard of acceptance in the court of Allah Almighty is not popularity and fame,
