mercy, and in verse 156 of Surah Al-A’raf, part 9, Allah Almighty has stated:

وَ رَحْمَتِیْ وَ سِعَتْ كُلَّ شَیْءٍؕ-فَسَاَكْتُبُهَا لِلَّذِیْنَ یَتَّقُوْنَ وَ یُؤْتُوْنَ الزَّكٰوةَ وَ الَّذِیْنَ هُمْ بِاٰیٰتِنَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَۚ(۱۵۶)

And My Mercy encompasses all things; I shall henceforth soon decree bounties for those who fear, and pay Zakah, and believe in Our verses.[1]

3. Becoming righteous

The third benefit of paying Zakat: A person becomes pious and attains true fear of Allah. In this regard, a sign of pious people has been mentioned in verse 3 of Surah Al-Baqarah, part 1:

وَ مِمَّا رَزَقْنٰهُمْ یُنْفِقُوْنَۙ(۳)

And spend in Our path from the sustenance We have bestowed (upon them).[2]

4. The path of success

The fourth benefit of Zakat, is that the person is included in the list of successful people. This is because paying Zakat is also termed as one of the blessed acts of successful people in the Holy Quran: From verse 1 to 4 of Surah Al-Mu`minoon, part 18, Allah Almighty has stated:

قَدْ اَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَۙ(۱) الَّذِیْنَ هُمْ فِیْ صَلَاتِهِمْ خٰشِعُوْنَۙ(۲) وَ الَّذِیْنَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُوْنَۙ(۳) وَ الَّذِیْنَ هُمْ لِلزَّكٰوةِ فٰعِلُوْنَۙ(۴)
