Barkaat e Zakat

Book Name:Barkaat e Zakat

that the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated, “Pay Zakat of your wealth, as it is a purifier; it will purify you.” [1]

10. Getting rid of evil traits

The tenth benefit:  Zakat not only purifies wealth, but also gives purity to one’s nafs as well, ridding it from evil traits like greed and miserliness. The Quran condemns miserliness in part 4, Surah Aal-e-Imran, verse 180 in the following words:

And those who act miserly, in respect to that which Allah has bestowed upon them by His Grace, must never think that it is good for them; rather, it is bad for them. Soon, that in which they were miserly shall be a collar (in the form of a snake) around their necks on the Day of Resurrection.[2]

11. Blessing in wealth

The eleventh benefit: By giving Zakat, the wealth of the Zakat-paying person does not decrease, rather it increases. Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran, part 22, Surah Saba, verse 39:
