Book Name:Imam Malik Ki Seerat
concerning. We pass comment on the shortcomings of others but ignore our very own failings.
For example, let us reflect: do we offer the five daily, obligatory prayers? If we do pray, are we punctual? Do we also try to learn about the rulings of prayer and other compulsory knowledge? Have we made an active effort to improve our Quranic recitation and pronunciation? Do we offer the prayer calmly or hastily? Are we sincere in the acts of worship? Do we waste our righteous deeds by revealing them to others without any [valid] reason?
Do we have a routine of performing supererogatory deeds? How much do we recite from the Holy Quran daily? Do we recite salat upon the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم often? Do we keep ourselves busy in dhikr? Do we cry in the fear of Allah? Are we able to observe voluntary fasting? Do we spend most of our time in worship? Do we use our mobiles, the internet and social media in the right manner? Do we wake others up for the Fajr prayer? Do we travel in a Madani Qafilah for at least three days every month? Do we deliver or listen to the Madani dars? Do we learn or teach in Madrassa-tul-Madinah for adults? Do we take part in the weekly Sunnah-inspiring Ijtimah, Madani Muzakarah and other religious activities?
In any case, we continue to live the days of our lives as the Angel of Death has not yet come, but we should awaken from the sleep of heedlessness. We should strive to fulfil the supererogatory deeds in addition to the obligations prescribed upon us. Let us join the religious environment of Dawat-e-Islami to spread the call of righteousness.
